The role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Key Account Manager to join our Sales team and maintain a portfolio of major customers within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Reporting into the National Manager - Key Clients, you will be based in Eastern Sydney but regular travel across metropolitan Sydney will be required. You will be given the responsibility of managing 5-10 key accounts that generate circa $20m per annum for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source new business opportunities within current accounts
  • Drive commercial conversations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and nurture business relationships with existing clients to meet organic growth targets, as well as establishing rapport with new clients.
  • Undertake complete customer profitability modelling
  • Responsible for managing customer negotiations in relation to commercial strategies and trading terms

About You

  • Possess high level consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and build business relationships across multiple layers within an organisation
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
  • A polished presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A background of sales/account management derived from a transport/freight forwarding business
