About The Role:
Reporting into the National Sales and Contract Performance Manager the National Account Manager will manage a portfolio of National Account contracts to maximise profitability and use best practices to ensure Veolia meet the KPI requirements as specified in the Agreement between the clients and Veolia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a National Account Manager looking to work across a broad range of contracts and have full ownership of their accounts, while being supported by the business. You will be a joining a highly motivated and tight knit team, who take pride in celebrating their wins and promote a positive and fun team culture.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop strong commercial relationships with key decision makers within account portfolio to implement strategies that will meet and exceed all agreed revenue and profitability targets
- Be accountable for the entire sales/customer relationship by developing a structured business plan
- Look for ways to value add to our service by providing innovative solutions for our customers
- Monitor and measure our performance levels to ensure that we are meeting our customer’s expectations, be accountable to manage all customer in-field issues
- Live our commitment to Safety by providing and encouraging adherence to policies with continuous training and education
- Develop and operate a strategic call cycle that is well structured and priorities are based around the customer’s business activity
- Conduct regular analysis of revenue and profitability of accounts to determine all cross selling opportunities and new business opportunities are being recognised
- Regularly report to Veolia management on all key aspects of the contract portfolio
- Develop a strategy for customer engagement and entertainment programs
- Achieve strong commercial relationships with clients and continuously strive to ensure Veolia meets required customer satisfaction rating as specified in contract KPI’s
- Provide regular updates to Veolia management on your allocated contract performance
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the waste industry or 5 years in a similar Account Manager / Business Development Manager position
- Management of multiple and competing stakeholder requirements
- Self-starter with a passion for major account and business development management
- Demonstrated ability in leadership development at multiple levels (from front line to executive level)
- Proven leadership ability to drive improvement initiatives which maximise our return from the account
- High level relationship and influencing skills in a complex environment with challenging stakeholders
- Effective project management skills to deliver improvement programs across the contract
- Strategic thinker who can set direction and vision and an ability to implement resource recovery initiatives which maximise returns to Veolia
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and positive client relationship and ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organisation building rapport easily
- High level analysis and problem-solving skills
