Our client is a growing ASX listed Food Group looking for an experienced National Field Sales Manager who can also handle some key independent grocery accounts.

This would suit some wishing to have a broad sales management role, reporting directly to the Head of Sales, and who enjoys a fast pace working landscape with exciting growth. 

 With an eye on being the most highly regarded lifestyle food group in Australia, emphasis for future growth will be on meeting the evolving ways we live, work and eat. 

They seek an experienced executive who can build, lead and motivate an inspirational sales team performing in all the majors and independents across Australia. Ideally you will be someone with a good track record already in sales team management coupled with some Key Account Management experience. While your grounding may include Key Account Management (at least in Independents) it will also be strong in motivating, coaching, training and supporting a sales team in the field and on the ground to create excitement and solid sales results. 

Specific Responsibilities- 

  • Accountable for the profitable achievement of sales objectives by market, segment, and sales team managed.
  • Achieving the executional goals and sales targets set out for the team.
  • Managing all aspects of running an efficient sales team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and motivating direct-report sales associates. 
  • Key Account Management

We are looking for someone who can lead and inspire and share in all the successes of the field team. Someone who can create excitement and develop the field team to ensure it realises its full potential. The role has all the scope, challenge and seniority that is required of an experienced National Field Sales Manager. There is great potential to expand the team and career progression, given the growth, is positive. 

Experience required-

  • 2 to 3 years experience in leading a Blue Chip FMCG sales team across all major supermarkets and independents. 
  • A blend of key account experience and field sales leadership
  • Depth of experience in managing related trade spend and overheads
  • Promotional planning
  • Sales forecasting for field activity 
  • Strong shopper activation in the field and close liaising with the trade and brand marketing team
  • Strong relationship building across the board particularly in leading the field team and with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment in execution
  • Track record reflects achievements of strategic objectives and in store activation successes
