The role

This role is a combination of business development and account management. Primarily you will be responsible for managing vitally important relationships with existing customers whilst generating new business. Working within our BD team you will focus heavily on our interstate and international customers and must therefore be able to travel frequently. You will have experience in a software sales environment and understand the tenets of agile software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Transmax's involvement in pre-sales activities (e.g. assisting with tender responses, bid management, project proposals)
  • Ensure our existing clients are well serviced and you will grow profit margins within an existing customer base
  • Maintain highly cohesive communication with our Project Management teams to ensure they are kept informed of future project opportunities
  • Consult with clients on key solution requirements
  • Generate and close new business opportunities
  • Confidently demonstrate Transmax's products and services to key stakeholders (including potential customers, suppliers and strategic alliances)
  • Represent Transmax at relevant conferences, trade shows and exhibitions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree level qualified, preferably in Engineering, ICT or Business
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Project Server
  • CRM, reporting and pipeline management
  • Experience in software sales
  • An ability to articulate technical solutions
  • Knowledge of the sales cycle
  • Customer facing presentation, negotiation and commercial decision making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and build rapport with commercial client
