As part of the ELTA Group of companies, Fantech Pty Ltd, is now market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of Industrial Fans and ancillary equipment to all facets of industry, within Australia and New Zealand.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join our Industrial team, based at our Huntingwood, Sydney facility. Reporting directly to the State Manager, your remit will be to

  • further develop existing business as well as grow and forge new client relationships throughout NSW;
  • Develop working relationships with customers to facilitate effective negotiation and acquisition of business in line with sales and margin objective;
  • Take responsibility for the promotion and sale of Fantech / Elta and other approved vendor products to non HVAC contractors, consultants and other associated customers in the industrial fan market in NSW;
  • Identify influencers and decision makers and develop their support in relation to specification and purchasing of Fantech / Elta products for non-HVAC applications;
  • Identify and develop OEM business opportunities for the range of Fantech / Elta products;
  • To monitor the viability and competitiveness of the Group’s product ranges and report to management especially on the availability of opportunities for both existing products or new products to expand our portfolio in these non-traditional markets;
  • Generation of new accounts.

The role will also involve telephone enquiries, written quotations using computer selection programs & manual systems, stock control along with developing good customer relations. 

We require someone who can interpret commercial terms and conditions and has a strong technical knowledge of ancillary mechanical products, an understanding of project management principles and a good general knowledge of fan applications and processes. Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical) or equivalent experience within the engineering industry. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous fan and ventilation industry experience will be highly regarded.

As a focused individual, your attention to application detail and ability to quickly identify and prioritise critical issues and tasks will be key to this role. Your ability to work autonomously towards targets and willingness to support other business units in meeting overall sales objectives are qualities we are looking for within this role, as is your willingness for involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
