We are currently in search of a highly successful and ambitious Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. With a strong focus on developing business opportunities and building successful commercial relationships this position will play a pivotal role in expanding Peter Rowland’s presence in the Industry. You will have previous experience within the industry and a range of solid skills and capacities that centre on the best strategic and financial outcomes for the business.

About the role:

  • Client relationship and business development from the corporate and private event segments for Peter Rowland
  • Identify and prospect through telemarketing, lead referral and networking for new clients and key decision influencers/makers and convert into new business opportunities.
  • Manage all opportunities through to deal closure.
  • Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profit for Peter Rowland
  • Provide input into the development of sales initiatives, marketing opportunities and growth strategies which will increase the profile and awareness of the business
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and business drivers

About you:

  • Previous experience within a premium lifestyle brand or business
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales management role within the business events sector, and / or a B2B environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills and high attention to detail 
  • High level prospecting, persuasion and networking skills
  • High level organization skills and ability to work within deadlines 
  • Thorough knowledge of the MICE Industry
  • Bilingual (Mandarin preferable)
