Hochiki Australia was established in 2012 to support a network of distributors throughout the Australian, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji markets.

Now Hochiki Australia is seeking a business development manager for new position.

This role entails:

  • Increase Hochiki product and system sales through vertical and horizontal markets by means of consultant, architect, end user , distribution channels.

  • Organise Hochiki product and system branding and sales activities and initiatives via roadshows, exhibitions, seminars, demonstration platforms and other mediums.

  • Organise and manage distribution of relative Hochiki product and system marketing material.

  • Build customer relations and Hochiki Brand awareness.

Key relationships:

  • Internal : Technical Manager , Engineering Manager

  • External : Consultants, Architects, Facility Managers, End users, distributors & key decision makers.

Skills and experience

  • It is expected that the candidate be technically competent in electrical / electronic / fire detection fields and have an understanding of emergency lighting and / or fire technologies.
  • A mimumum of 6 years in lighting or electrical sales. 
  • Demonstrable evidence of past sales figures via numerous business contacts.
  • Strong presentation and people skills.
  • An initiator of leads, opportunities and projetcs with the ability of closing out sales.
  • Ability in building on-going relationships with external entities and individuals.
  • Build customer relations and Hochiki Brand awareness
  • Self-starter, pro active with a hands-on approach.
  • Computer literate, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • This position will require travel both within NSW and interstate.
