Our client is a global manufacturer of high-end and Architectural Surfaces, Flooring Systems, Cladding and Paving systems used in design led construction products. They are well financed and have enjoyed rapid growth in the last 18 months in their Australian operation through the strategic acquisition of market share from the competition.
Their products are typically made-to-order and can be found in designer housing, commercial buildings such as Airports or in premium landscaping projects.
They are looking to recruit a Senior BDM to both drive sales and manage, motivate and inspire the sales team QLD.
Your primary task is to strategically drive sales and revenue growth through the residential and commercial construction channel You will also motivate and manage a small team of sales and customer services staff in QLD. Day-to-day you will be responsible for growing sales and margin through the training, development and mentoring of your team as well as directly executing the sales strategy at a senior level with key customers. As such you will be dealing at a senior level with both Builders, Stone Masons and Architects and Designers.
You will be responsible for financial budgeting and reporting and additional responsibility in this area will be a key part of your own personal development plan.
You will be at the top of your game. Immaculately presented, polished, a strong leader and you will thrive in an autonomous role where you will be given free rein to strategically plan and execute a go-to-market strategy through your team. You will be able to demonstrate tangible success in growing business through strategic account management and new business development. An understanding of the construction industry is desirable, as is contacts within the outlined customer base, however, this is not essential.
