The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) is a well respected, values-based Ombudsman scheme that provides all NSW energy and some water customers with independent, free, informal dispute resolution services.  We achieve fair and reasonable complaint outcomes for all parties; provide leading customer service and influence evolving energy and water public policy. We are not a consumer advocate, nor do we represent industry.
 
The Manager People is a newly created role reporting to the GM Finance and Corporate Services. You will lead the HR team by delivering exceptional HR services to managers and staff, which support the delivery our Three Year Strategic Plan. This includes recruitment, performance, remuneration and reward reviews, learning and training and workforce planning.  This is a 12 month fixed term position, and there is potential for it to become permanent.

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • A degree qualification in a related field (including HR, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, Organisation Development, Change Management)
  • Experience in managing the full range of key HR services
  • Experience in developing creative and impactful solutions to build and sustain staff engagement
  • Experience in developing change plans for technology based initiatives and people projects
  • Experience in managing a small HR team
  • Experience in managing the employee engagement survey process from end to end (including communication and action planning) as well as managing the design and delivery of leadership development programs and the application of learning
  • Experience in the design and implementation of capability frameworks
