Payroll Assistant (Part Time)

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic company. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will spend your time completing weekly and fortnightly pays for multiple entities in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will maintain payroll data, files and personal information in accordance with privacy legislation.
 
This is a part time position of 3 days per week, however, as part of a small team we require someone with the flexibility to cover absences and assist peak times, if necessary.
 
Your direct responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time through the weekly and fortnightly processing of payroll: PRT, Superannuation, deduction payments etc.
• Preparation of several company payrolls using various ledgers in a weekly/fortnightly cycle
• Preparing and maintaining templates for bank payments through Electronic Funds Transfer systems
• Interpreting various Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
• Processing award additions or deductions and reconcile where necessary
• Data entry for new employees
• Processing leave payments, termination notice or redundancies as required

As the ideal candidate you will possess the following skills and abilities;

• Sound experience in payroll processing for a medium sized organisation-
• Strong numerical data processing ability - speed and accuracy
• Knowledge of manual and computerised payroll systems and Time and Attendance software.
• A good sense of humour and a “can do” attitude
