Our federal government client is looking for a APS 6 Recruitment Team Leader on a 6+ month contract. This comes with a possible chance of extension.
The APS 6 Recruitment Team Leader will:
- proactively manage the team’s workload to ensure service expectations are met and a focus on service delivery is maintained and promoted -assist the team by providing support to team members on administrative, technical and operational matters, including applying or interpreting rules, regulations, delegations or other guideline material for the recruitment team
- provide a positive role model to your team by working with professionalism, empathy and commitment.
- Work with the EL 1 to review the operational functions of the team with a focus on process improvement and enabling a self-service culture.
- Transition the team to a more consultative service offering -reviewing current skills, capabilities and assist in implementing an alternate operating model.
- ensure high work standards are maintained throughout peak periods
- mentor team members to assist them to achieve their personal goals and contribute positively to team, branch and strategic outcomes
- maintain internal and external relationships and providing services and information to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
The ideal APS 6 Recruitment Team Leader will have:
- Previous experience working in recruitment would be highly regarded, however key to this role is experience in a busy operational environment.
- Experience in call centres, shared services or other high volume transactional environments is desirable.
- Substantial experience in managing teams.
- Proven ability to lead teams to achieve results within short timeframes and under pressure in an operational environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and develop productive working relationships, both internally and externally
- Ability to interpret and apply rules, legislation and guidelines
