In this role, you will provide brand defence, positive and proactive public relations and reputation management for an iconic Queensland company. This role is integral in protecting the RACQ brand, including predominately our Insurance, Banking and Assistance pillars. This is a full-time, contract opportunity until August 2019 with the possibility of extension.
- Develop public relations activities, including positive media stories on behalf of RACQ?s insurance, banking and assistance businesses
- Research and write online content for the RACQ Live website and other platforms
- Engage with members and the public through official RACQ social media channels
- Assist with the development of creative communication and content for social media channels
- Collaborate with Acting Manager Corporate Affairs and other media advisors to maintain messaging and brand protection
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring fact-based PR campaigns
- Assist in the organisation of media-targeted events designed to maximise traditional media coverage
Skills & Experience
- Relevant experience and qualifications in public relations and/or insurance and banking communications
- Proven ability to deliver effective PR activities across a variety of platforms
- Exemplary written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and social media channels
