The Victorian Woodworkers Association is a not for profit community organisation which seeks to encourage excellence in fine woodwork and promote it to the wider community.

We are to seeking a contractor to carry out a variety of communications tasks associated with the VWA mission and activities, with a particular focus on increasing our social media presence.

The Contractor will:

• Liaise with students, Artists in residence and other VWA members (including attending woodwork classes and VWA members meetings) to develop material for our Instagram and Facebook accounts (both text and photos);
• Be linked to other woodwork resources which may be of interest to VWA members, and redistribute this as appropriate;
• Update the VWA website on a regular basis with new information as it comes to hand, such as members meetings and other VWA or woodworking events, teaching dates, and general news of interest;
• Maintain a close working relationship with the administrative officer, the President and the Secretary;
• Publicise VWA activities through its Facebook and Instagram accounts;
• Assist in mailouts to members using the VWA Mailchimp account or similar;
• Provide the Management Committee with monthly reports on activities undertaken;
• If requested, assist with communication of VWA Exhibitions e.g. Create From A Crate;
• Assist with other social media activities and event planning as may be required from time to time.
