The business is a marketplace startup that recently secured Series C funding. Their technology helps everyday people solve their problems, make their life easier and generate an extra income. They are Australia's number 1 in what they do and 6 months through their expansion into Europe.


The Culture

Almost 100 people in their Wynyard-based office, creating, hustling and making things happen generates an electric atmosphere. It's a deliberately diverse environment, opinions, debate, ideas, creativity runs free. Hard problems are being solved with a healthy mix of serious business and fun. 


The Role
 

You'll be responsible for the Core Engineering Tribe, leading software engineers, test analysts, designers and product people. You'll have full technical responsibility for their core product, including architecture design and technical roadmap. Occasionally you'll cut some code, how often can be determined by you.  

Most importantly, you'll play a key role in their move from a monolith to a microservices environment. Finally, you'll be led and mentored by the most inspirational VP of Engineering in Sydney. 


Skills Required 

The calibre of engineers here is really high. They include a mix of ex-Atlassian, ex-Google, ex-CTO and entrepreneurs. So as a leader, it's imperative you carry a level of presence, confidence and business acumen.
