Position Overview

Liaising with federal and state government departments, customers and internal support staff to elicit software change requirements, then documenting those requirements in a form understandable by the developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements Gathering

• Liaise with federal and state government departments to understand government policy and CCMS requirements
• Liaise with customers to elicit child care centre requirements

Analysis & Design

• Collaborate with the developers and Systems Analyst to describe business requirements
• Write functional requirements documents for major projects
• Assist Application Support to investigate complex defects

Organisation

• Work closely with the Product, Dev teams and Support Manager to ensure that business priorities are being addressed.
• Adequately document issues in JIRA and keep up-to-date
• Advise on process improvements and be comfortable with implementing Agile changes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential

• 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• The ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with government, customers and developers
• Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of business analysis methodologies
• Experience with Agile techniques and processes.
• Collaborative team player.

Desirable

• Some Product Owner experience and keen to grow and develop skillset.
• Experience collaborating with UX staff.
• Experience with support and maintenance processes in information technology
