A community focused organisation is currently seeking Desktop Support Officer to come on board initially for a three month contract to provide Level 1 & 2 support to their staff. Working amongst the IT team you will be responsible for supporting 400 plus users being the first point of contact for Level 1 & 2 IT related issues. You will be taking ownership of customers' queries and resolving them in a timely manner whilst escalating deeper technical issues as appropriate. In this diverse role you will be supporting all levels of personnel via phone, email and face to face.
About Candidate:
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting systems & networks - Windows 7, Active Directory, PC & phone hardware, Microsoft applications including MS Office suite and mobility devices (Mobiles/tablets/iPads).
- Ability to provide basic network administration
- Previous experience working onsite with a company to provide both Helpdesk & Desktop support duties
- Local Government experience is highly desirable
- An approachable individual that is dedicated to providing friendly customer service/support as well as willing to go the extra mile.
- Comfortable working with an open door policy and following up on resolutions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with call logging systems to log issues and follow up
