About the role:

The DevOps Engineer is a key member of the Infrastructure team. The team exists to collaborate with the software development teams deliver and maintain software efficiently, and reach higher standards of quality, reliability and sustainability. 

Responsibilities:

The team  forms part of the Project Delivery capability within the organisation. Its role in the business is to engage with stakeholders in developing high quality apps/applications and features that fit the absolute strategic needs.
The key responsibilities of the DevOps team is to develop organisational capabilities for improved and sustainable value delivery.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• High degree of technical competency.
• Experience with programming and scripting (PowerShell, javascript, .Net, Shell scripting, etc.) in a Dev/Ops environment.
• Experience with automation of application deployments and environment provisioning (for apps developed in-house, not off the shelf packages).
• Experience with continuous deployment technologies
• Ability to work with Agile methodologies.
• Experience of working closely with (or within) a software development team, deploying code changes and managing the deployment process.
• Experience working with Cloud technologies (OpenStack, AWS, Azure).
• Demonstrable ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Ability to isolate faults quickly and be able to provide second/third level support for issues.
