Scrum teams typically consist of ten people with two Developers + a combination of Testers, PMs and BAs. The working culture 

The Role

The successful Engineer will carry out an initial 6 month contract writing elegant, functional and efficient code for an exciting greenfield build.   

Other responsibilities include:

• Driving overall engineering strategy across digital technology
• Continually learning modern technology best practices and bring them back to the group
• Going above and beyond to improve quality and performance in the delivery of efficient, reliable and maintainable solutions

There is a large pipeline of work and extensions or conversions to perm will be offered. Pay is experience-dependent, and applications from the Mid to Senior level will be assessed.

The Ideal Candidate

• A passion for technology and drive to keep abreast of emerging practices
• An ability to work competently across front and back end technologies - essential
• Experience building scalable, high-traffic, applications with modern security features
• A penchant for innovation
• At least 5+ years of experience developing in a Microsoft stack, e.g.: C#, .NET, MVC, Web API, EF, MS SQL, ideally .NET Core
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries, ideally React.js or Angular 2 and above
• Experience with Microservices
• A strong grounding with Source Control (Git), TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Clean coding in a fast paced, agile, team-driven environment
