User Researcher
Prestigious organisation based in Sydney CBD is after User Researchers to work within teams to build an understanding of users needs, behaviours and motivations for an initial 3 - 6 months with an option to extend for up to 6 months
Accountabilities
You will be working with a new team, which is expected to include Business Architects, Service Designers, User Researchers and Subject Matter Experts.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the identification and prioritisation of the work that benefits users.
You will be responsible for building an understanding of the services’ users and their behaviour, and providing insights to the teams about how users interact with the service. They take the lead on running contextual research sessions with real users, and communicating findings back to the whole team, creating actionable insights to guide design.
You will have extensive experience working in Agile.
Competencies
- User research and design professional experience
- Ability to identify user needs and ensure that your team understands them and keeps user needs at front of mind when making product and prioritisation decisions
- Ability to plan and conduct a range of research including contextual enquiry, depth interviews, diary studies and others as required
- Ability to articulate clear and actionable insights and recommendations, and in multiple ways (such as service maps, customer journeys etc)
- Ability to analyse and draw insights across different bodies of user research
- Have previous experience in Agile and work at pace as part of an agile multi-disciplined team.
- Previous experience working to understand users needs, behaviours and motivations when interacting with government
- Ability to work in co-located teams
- Promote a positive creative culture and help to build a strong Product reputation for DTA
