An opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Data Migration Specialist with SA Government, The Data Migration Specialist will assist in all aspects of data migration to the new Electronic Management System, including development of tools, data cleansing, mapping, extractions, transformation and data loads, ensuring that data migration activities are performed according to the data migration strategy, relevant policies, guidelines, and industry standards.
Skills required for the role:
• 8-10 years of minimum experience as a SQL Server developer, especially with significant Transact SQL experience including stored procedures,
• Strong knowledge and experience in Transact SQL; design, code, test and document; troubleshoot and performance-tune T-SQL scripts as necessary.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and data structures of legacy systems
• Experience in migrating data from a legacy system to a SQL Server system
• Ensure integrity of data migrations
Desired skills
• Advanced knowledge of Transact SQL and MS SQL databases using MS SQL Server 2016 or 2017.
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development experience
• SSIS ETL development experience
