About the role

An exciting, newly created opportunity has arisen through the growth of the business for an experienced Business Development Manager to promote, drive and expand NEC's customer base in Enterprise markets.

The role will focus on engaging new/prospective clients, leveraging the extensive resources across NEC to promote our range of capabilities.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talent for engaging across the client business and with multiple layers to understand their business imperatives and how NEC services and solutions can enable their success.

 

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the State Sales Manager NSW, your key responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Build and expand the customer base across the NSW Enterprise market
  • Focus on winning new business and, where relevant, expand existing services and contracts
  • Exceed revenue & margin based targets on a regular basis
  • Identify, qualify, develop and present propositions/solutions that meet the needs of the customer
  • Develop, capture and maintain an extensive knowledge base and pipeline of all accounts
  • Monitor and manage designated client relationships to ensure desired levels of customer satisfaction are being achieved
  • Strategically assess accounts and develop new revenue streams based on customer requirements
  • Deliver presentations internally and directly to customers

 

About you

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially astute and proven Sales professional ready for their next challenge. You will have a consultative and customer focused approach to partner effectively with a prospective customer in identifying and understanding their needs. Crucial to this role is the ability to engage with influence and credibility across all stakeholder and client groups.

Additionally, you will have the following:

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a consultative selling role, preferably within IT services
  • A background in ITO, BPO, Systems integration, Security, Managed Services or contact centres
  • Extensive network of contacts you have built through your successful history to date
  • The proven ability to create compelling proposals and value propositions
  • A successful background of consistently delivering on your budgets and targets (revenue and non-revenue related)
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage lengthy, complex sales cycles
  • Knowledge/certifications in various sales methodologies such as SPIN/TAS is preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred
