Leading bank is looking for an experienced IT Security Analyst to assist with some of their critical projects. This is a 6 month contract with ongoing potential.
In this role you will be primarily responsible for all the different facets of information security. As well as identifying security weaknesses and incidents, you will also need to be able to think outside the box.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and respond to security queries and escalations from internal and external sources
- Work closely with IT operations teams to ensure that system vulnerabilities and weaknesses are tracked to closure
- Drive changes to improve our security posture through a mix of tactical, and strategic security initiatives
- Be a good security advisor to the general organisation
- Work with risk and audit teams to help manage the banks systems within risk appetite
- Management and monitoring of Security Monitoring Service Providers to ensure they perform as per SLA
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years relevant IT experience
- Experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Centre)
- Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti Virus, Server Operating Systems (Windows / Linux)Vulnerability & compliance scanning tools
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Finance Industry or internet retail experience (Desirable)
- Self-motivated, “Can-do” attitude
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
