PM-Partners is currently seeking a Network Design Consultant for this long term contract based in Melbourne. This is a customer facing role that requires the ability to design large scale network and infrastructure solutions, recognize gaps in customer capabilities and to translate them into business requirements, execution strategy and detailed technical design. 

Role Information:
The Network Design Consultant is a customer facing role that requires the ability to recognize gaps in customer capabilities and to translate them into business requirements and an execution strategy.  Influencing solutions to design and deploy Data Centre Networks utilizing industry best practices incorporating an industry leading product line of application focused Infrastructure and platforms.

This contract position focuses on identification of opportunities that are possible and practical as part of a longer-term account strategy and roadmap. Executes and implements by leading cross services delivery organizations for AS-wide engagements and is program-or project-oriented.

In this role you use your skills and experience:

• Design and deploy data centre networks 
• Develop and perform migration from traditional data centre network designs to a specific global leader product line
• Integrate services appliances to deployments to include Application Delivery Controllers and Firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Oversee/perform new and existing equipment, hardware and software upgrades
• Create low level design, high level design 
• Create an Implementation plan, and acceptance test plan documents in accordance with customer and client standards.
• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware & Software.

Skills Required to be considered for this role.

• ACI Multi-Pod Solution Design Experience
• Network Design Experience with Nexus-9k/7k/5k/4k/3k/1k.
• Hands on, in depth knowledge and experience with Cisco APIC SDN controller architecture, ACI Multi-Pod, Stretched Layer-2
• Proven ability to develop different application policies in the ACI including Tenants, Application Network Profile (ANP), End Point Group (EPG), Contracts, Subjects and Filters
• In depth understanding and skills surrounding Fabric Access Policy including how to create switch policies, interface policies, AEPs, Physical and External Domains
• Hands on experience on Fabric Discovery Activity including Verifying the APIC and LEAF Health.
• Experience configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks including the following products: Cisco Nexus 9k,7k,5k,4K, 3k,1k Switches, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Cisco ASR / ISR Routers.
• Strong understanding of external L2/L3 fabric connectivity and Experience in L2/L3 switching Architecture design. Must have a solid understanding in BGP, OSPF, VDC, vPC, VXLAN, ECMP and Fabric Path.
• Standalone to ACI Migration and ACI Troubleshooting Experience
