We are seeking a specialised Application Maintenance Support Officer to join our Sydney team.
CONTEXT OF THE JOB
You will be reporting to the regional Head of AMS from a day to day activities perspective. Provide support for local and regional applications within the business as part of the AMS team (application management and support). You will be responsible for supporting exchange related tasks within the local IT team from a projects and day to day activities point of view (communications, IT upgrades, market testing, etc). Ensure all systems and services are stable and managed to ABN AMRO Clearing standards, and conform to industry best practices. Participate on a team roster to provide support outside business hours (if applicable). The occasional DC related task(s) may be required of you as well, to perform patching and cabling work as needed.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Local and Regional Focus:
- Providing analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance for new and existing software
- Help local, regional and global business users to solve their everyday queries related to locally developed applications and third party applications.
- Work with project teams at every UAT stage and complete handover upon project completion.
- Support the local office with IT related matters pertaining to applications and exchange related tasks and activities.
Performance Management:
- Ensure that performance and availability of systems is optimized to meet or exceed business specifications.
Incident and Problem Management:
- Ensure that performance and availability of systems is optimized to meet or exceed business specifications.
Change Management:
- Ensure formal processes for making changes are adhered to in order to maintain the integrity of the systems and facilitate the efficient handling of change
Security
- Guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems under management as well as client system in line with ABN AMRO Clearing policies and industry best practices
Support Hours
- On call support and weekend work as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Required level and content of education
- IT related University degree or equivalent
- Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Bootstrap CSS, Maven development.
- Experience with GIT, Bamboo and CVS.
- Experience with Linux operating system.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, Iterative etc.
- Experience with Java 8 and Perl.
- Knowledge of IT systems including but not limited to Linux/Unix systems, Windows systems, storage systems and basic networking components
- Knowledge of methods and tools for application lifecycle, software engineering, test management and IT
Required employment experience
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a Java Developer (Perl experience a plus)
- At least 3 years’ plus experience in IT services and support
