Our client, a mid-sized, Federal Government Organisation, is Seeking their next Director of ICT Service Operations (ITIL / ITSM) to engage for a 12+24 month contract, located in Greenway, Tuggeranong.

The primary duties of the Director of ICT Service Operations (ITIL / ITSM) will include but not be limited to:

  • Acquire a deep understanding of the client's business structures and delivery model;
  • Develop and manage a small geographically diverse team to deliver ICT service operations to the organisation and direct stakeholders;
  • Provide end to end service delivery and engagement with DHS for ICT ‘business as usual’ services from service planning through to incident response;
  • Manage internal and external communication including ensuring the timeliness and quality of status reports and documentation and the engagement of relevant stakeholders;
  • Manage ICT Security services with DHS;
  • Deliver ICT service through the ICT Shared Services model;
  • Develop and nurture robust relationships with internal and partner stakeholders;
  • Manage operational and performance reporting and monitoring for client ICT Services;
  • Manage and coordinate business and technical change management activities;
  • Create and execute work plans and timelines and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion; and
  • Support continuous improvement in ICT Management.

To be considered for this long Director of ICT Service Operations (ITIL / ITSM) contract opportunity you must have the following:

  • Pristine verbal and written communication skills, in order to liaise with internal staff and customers to investigate problems;
  • Proven experience in management and leadership of technical teams across multiple geographic locations;
  • Prior experience of leading teams to deliver ICT services through a formal ICT management framework such as ITIL;
  • Experience mentoring junior staff in generating practical solutions to problems based on an understanding of the broader context of issues;
  • A strong commitment to meeting agreed work targets and standards;
  • Experience in delivering ICT Service Management across a complex and geographically diverse organisation.
