We have created a new permanent opportunity for an experienced SAP ABAP/PI Developer to join the iServices Applications team at Cement Australia.

As one of two ABAP/PI Developers, you will support development of SAP through ABAP and system interfaces using PI/PO, EDI, APIs and other middleware adapters. Your days will be varied as you work through support & change requests as well as working on projects. There is a strong pipeline of project work that will challenge your technical skills as well as complex problems to solve. As a ABAP/PI Developer, you will:

• Conduct SAP ECC and PI/PO administration including system monitoring and programming performance fine-tuning, ensuring response times are within acceptable parameters, fault/error detection and reporting
• Provide issue resolution to Help Desk calls
• Complete technical development in ABAP, PI/PO and Java languages within budget and timeframes
• Comply with change control procedures to ensure a stable and reliable SAP technical landscape
• Proactively analyse programming and interface requirements
• Develop solutions for support requests and complex business scenarios
• Prioritise and execute work according to change control processes and priority ratings
• Maintain relevant documentation including technical designs

Requirements

• Expert knowledge (at least 5 years) experience in SAP ABAP and PI/PO including developing APIs with cloud-based applications
• Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Information Technology) or experience in a similar position
• SAP Certification in ABAP , XI/PI/PO or equivalent experience providing technical support to a large base of SAP users, developers and analysts
• Experience in ABAP , PI/PO monitoring and performance tuning
• Mobile Apps development using UI5, Java, SAP Fiori & associated development tools (desirable)
• Proven problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems
• Work with SAP Business Analysts and representatives to determine requirements and perform system changes to improve business operations
• Ability to apply SAP OSS Notes, analyse Support & Enhancement Packages
• Good organisational skills including ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
