We are currently looking for a Level 2/ 3 Desktop Engineer to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives on a 6 month contract.
 
Provide onsite and remote desktop support to clients by responding to and resolving incidents and service requests whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. 
 
What we expect you to do

  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests escalated from the service desk
  • Image laptops and desktops with Standard Operating Environment
  • Support multiple Standard Operating Environments (SOE) including desktop applications.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults related to end-user devices
  • Ability to respond to high priority issues in a timely manner
  • Liaise with vendors, as required, to achieve problem resolution
  • Cable patching for telephony and data services 
  • Executive level support

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

  • Experience working in a desktop support role with strong client focus, interpersonal, co-ordination, and communication skills
  • Strong client focus showing empathy, understanding and readiness to get the job done to their satisfaction
  • Technical expertise includes;  
    • Supporting Microsoft operating environment- Active Directory, Azure desirable
    • Good experience with Office 365 and Exchange Online- acting as the escalating point for these technologies
    • Microsoft Windows desktop Operating systems (Windows 10, 8.1, 7)
    • Office 2016, O365, 2013, and 2010
    • LAN (network) connectivity troubleshooting (DHCP, IP etc)
    • Hardware - Desktop and Laptop break/fix
    • Data and phone patching
    • Desktop Security skills (virus handling, SPAM, security breaches)
    • Remote access support
    • Printer support, TV support and Cisco phone support
    • Powershell skills desirable
