Principal Security Architect
- Responsible for solutioning and architecture guidance to various security and business projects.
- Reporting to the Principal Security Manager you will drive the development and of the security architecture.
- Flexible working conditions, - work for home one day per week.
The Role:
The principal security architect is responsible for solutioning and architecture guidance to various security and business projects that are consistent with our policies and standards and our domain and enterprise architectures. Providing security consulting and architecture solutioning and design advice to the broader architecture and consulting community. Driving the development and definition the security architecture roadmap and target state to support our security program of work
Key Responsibilities:
- Define current state and target state solution architectures for security and business projects consistent with polices and standards and domain and enterprise architecture
- Provide architecture and design leadership through:
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of security frameworks, capabilities and technologies.
- Solutioning for security and related technologies across the group.
- Reusing existing application components and infrastructure.
- Ensuring the resulting design is implementable and within the risk appetite of the group.
- Awareness of industry and regulatory compliance initiatives and their impacts.
- Preparation of design options where there are multiple solutions available
- Contribute to idea and inception sessions and high level project estimates/costings
- Provide overall security technical leadership to delivery teams in terms of the end to end solution, ensuring all facets of the designs and technologies are integrated to deliver an architecturally compliant implementation that meets the business needs
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualified, preferably in relevant business or IT related discipline (desired)
or equivalent level of professional experience. - CISM or CISSP qualification.
- Related Architectural Certification (TOGAF, SABSA).
- Demonstrated advanced technology industry experience in professional security roles (required).
- Experience working in senior roles on large, complex organisations (required).
- Experience architecting and solutioning large, complex projects or programs (required).
- Experience influencing multiple levels of stakeholders, especially senior leadership teams, to achieve security outcomes (required).
- Experience in mentoring/coaching (desirable).
