Architect / All Rounder
We are a boutique Architectural Practice working on an array of projects over various scales consisting of mainly residential and commercial projects. Based in the inner north east of Melbourne, we offer a friendly environment and an opportunity to work with in a small collaborative team.
We are currently seeking a talented and highly motivated Architect with 5 - 8 years local industry experience.
The role will involve working closely with and reporting to the Principal, and includes the following;
- Working across all stages of a project from concept design, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration
- Preparation and coordination of project documentation throughout town planning, construction, and tender phases
- Project coordination, inclusive of liaising with consultants, authorities, and clients as required
- Facilitating and providing professional assistance to the Principal
The Candidate will also need to have the following attributes;
- Degree qualification in Architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Design ability, with a creative flair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, ArchiCad (preferred), MS Suite, & 3D rendering software’s
- 3D presentation skills
- Experience in project coordination, liaising with consultants, authorities, clients, and builders onsite
- Exceptional experience and knowledge in producing residential and commercial drawing documentation, (apartments documentation required) through Town Planning and Construction Drawing phases
- Experience and knowledge of the BCA, NCC, Australian Standards, and local building construction
- Experience and knowledge of Town Planning processes and codes (ResCode knowledge important)
- Good coordination, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to problem solve by investigating and researching appropriate solutions
- Driver’s License (preferable)
- Permanent Australian Resident
