Reporting into the Architectural /Standards Design Manager in the new Creative Division; as Design Coordinator you will develop new, trial and refit store design intents and documentation, support design development initiatives as generated by the business to continually improve Fixture, Fittings and Equipment and Fit out standards, and provide guidelines, manuals and other documentation to enable execution of trials, roll-outs, and new formats.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist in creation of new store design concepts and the production of related documentation
• Develop and maintain new store design manuals
• Document design intents for new, refit & trial stores
• Work with external consultants to achieve design outcomes
• Document and record new design / fixturing elements and associated documents
• Work with internal & external stakeholders to concept new fixtures and equipment
• Coordinate prototyping of new items including quoting and timelines
• Collaboration with internal departments on new design development initiatives to continually improve FSD and FSL standards
• Design fixture layouts and assist in implementation of new trials
• Participate in scoping site visits (occasional interstate travel required)

To be considered for the role you will require:  

• Advanced AutoCAD and Revit experience
• Advanced Adobe suite skills
• Good knowledge of building construction, retail construction, fit out and documentation standards
• Prior work experience or good understanding of the retail field will be well regarded
• Good Hand sketching/drawing ability
• Good knowledge of building materials, finishes and specifications
• Some knowledge of the BCA and relevant regulations
• Intermediate level MS Office applications
• Results focused and has good attention to detail 
• Team focus and motivation and drive to achieve outcomes
