We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Production Coordinator for our expanding and fast paced production team. This position will touch on all functions of the production cycle, with a focus on offshore production.
Core responsibilities
• Assisting Head Designer and Production Manager in all aspects of the production process.
• Support Production Manager in communications with offshore suppliers and implementation of seasonal sampling and production cycle
• Negotiate with offshore suppliers
• Coordinate import and freight forwarding
• Prepare and monitor sample and bulk production purchase orders
• Coordinate production schedule and maintain punctual deliveries
• Assist in development of technical specification packs for offshore production
• Monitor fittings and communicate instructions with offshore suppliers
• Provide suppliers with approvals and comments on samples
• Maintain quality control procedures
Preferred skills and qualities
• Fluency in Mandarin is highly regarded
• Experience and competence in communicating with offshore suppliers and manufactures
• Experience in production of fashion/textiles
• Efficient and precise administrator
• Strong computer skills, Excel, Adobe Illustrator and graphics experience preferred
• Compatibility with a small team environment
• Strong self-motivation, drive and excellent attention to detail
• Articulate and confident communicator
• Function well under pressure and ability to multitask, prioritise and efficiently coordinate production requirements within tight timeframes
