Local government organisation is looking for a subdivisions planner in Central Melbourne, paying $35 per hour+
Your new company
Your new company is an East Melbourne based council which is considered one of the most forward thinking and progressive councils in Victoria. A new Chief Executive recently restructured the Planning Department and poured money and resources into making sure planners have the authority to effectively manage strategic planning projects. Your new role
You will be given responsibility over subdivision planning applications, taking the lead with managing planning applications with the SPEAR system. You will liaise with planning departments and other council teams to make sure these large scale projects are managed effectively.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will be a qualified town planner (international qualifications will be considered) with suitable rights to work in Australia. You will have experience either with a Victorian Council, State Government organisation or a private sector planning firm and have a good understanding of statutory planning.
What you'll get in return
You will earn $35 per hour (higher rates considered for more experience) and you will secure a minimum 6 month contract, with the potential to progress within the organisation.
