The Opportunity
  
An opportunity in a progressive, rapidly growing, boutique accounting firm located in in the CBD fringe (near the train), requiring a full time Team Assistant to join this friendly and close-knit administration team. Regular staff events, a secure environment, supportive manager and the opportunity for on the job training make this a great place to work.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting the accounting team – drawing up documents, following up with clients and some reporting
  • ASIC and ATO lodgements and follow up, requests for remission of fines, lodgement of Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements
  • Applications for TFNs, ABN’s GST and PAYG
  • Creating and setting up companies, trusts and entities as well as handling renewals and transfers of business names with ASIC (can be taught)
  • Data entry, database management and management of archiving systems
  • General administration support, e.g. filing, copying, collating, binding etc.
  • Reception duties, meeting and greeting clients, answer phones, answering basic enquiries, redirecting as required
  • There is scope in the role to gain accounts experience if this is desired
Requisite Skills & Experience
  • Proven administration experience within an accounting firm
  • Experienced in liaising with the ATO and ASIC, lodging forms and following up
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • MYOB and Xero experience would be beneficial
