As our receptionist, you will be the face of BTL.  Your role will include answering and transferring telephone calls; scanning and photocopying documents; electronic filing; collection and preparation of incoming and outgoing mail; set up for conferences; kitchen duties; internal and external deliveries; court filing and other administrative duties as required.  For the right candidate, the role offers the opportunity for rapid advancement to legal secretarial or paralegal work.

 

This is not a traditional receptionist role.  The successful candidate must be able to confidently manipulate electronic documents, work in a paperless environment and adapt to changing technology.

About you

 

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic receptionist who, working as part of a team, will provide support to our lawyers.  You will have:

 

  • Minimum 1-2 years previous receptionist experience (legal office experience preferred but not essential);
  • Experienced and confident in dealing with technology, and manipulating electronic documents across multiple platforms;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Fast and accurate typing with a solid knowledge of MS Word;
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment;
  • High standard of communication skills;
  • Time management and organisational skills;
  • Strong work ethic; and
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and contribute to a friendly team environment.
