The OHS Compliance Officer is responsible for the overall development, implementation, review and maintenance of the organisation’s Integrated Management Plan in ensuring that the safety of staff, visitors and contractors is line with the current Health Safety Environment and associated Legislation.

Description
As a OHS Compliance Officer you will be required to:
- Provide hands on support and conduct site inductions
- Ensure regulations and policies are implemented consistently across the organisation via regular internal audits.
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming SHEQ legislation and client requirements.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, auditing and review of internal processes to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies.
- Conduct monthly OHS meetings
- Oversee product recalls, defective works and services and implement changes to ensure future compliance.
- Work proactively to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement
- Ensure that rigorous risk assessment and accident management systems are in place.
Profile
Ideally you have working experience with working on site and dealing with risks within the construction industry. A strong communicator with an assertive and diplomatic nature to handle internal and external demands.
- 5 years previous experience in Quality, Environmental and Safety Systems
- Working within the construction (or related) industry
- Past experience in conducting and organising internal audits.
- Ability to implement changes and lead initiatives.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Superior attention to detail.
