This role represents an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to join a dedicated Coach & Talent team tasked with developing strong relationships with all stakeholders and leading coach and talent development programs in WA. It is our aim to inspire all Western Australians to love cricket!
About Us
The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) is the governing body for cricket in the state of Western Australia (WA). The WACA is home to WA’s elite teams, the Big Bash League’s male and female Perth Scorchers as well as the Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors and the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury. Our vision is to be Leaders in Australian Sport in all areas including national team representation, elite team success, participation, engagement and fan experience.
The Role
The role will be responsible for the alignment, promotion, implementation and delivery of the male player and coach pathway across the north metropolitan region. The role is fixed term until 30 June 2020 with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining a network of talent program coaches
- Leading coach development sessions for coaches at all levels
- Planning and delivering the talented player identification and development process
- Participating in the selection of state carnival teams and attending carnivals as required

About You
We are seeking a self driven individual who can build strong relationships, effectively deliver coach development and proactively coordinate development programs for talented players.
To succeed in this role you will have;
- Experience working with athletes either within an educational or sporting environment
- Demonstrable coaching experience with individuals and teams
- Experience in athlete talent identification and development processes
- Experience in managing stakeholders and strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Open to adopting new technology
- A collaborative working style
- Representative (Level 2) Coach Accreditation
