Overview

Council is seeking suitably qualified applicants to deliver first class swimming instruction to the community at our Bomaderry Aquatic Centre. We are looking for individuals to provide Learn to Swim classes focused on developing the participant’s level of water safety and swimming ability. This is a casual position.

Your New Role

Reporting directly to the Bomaderry Aquatic Centre Co-ordinator, the focus of this position is to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to Shoalhaven Swim & Fitness Facility clients and members of the public

  • Teach Learn to Swim classes, related classes and coaching sessions to clients so as to fully develop the participant’s level of water safety and swimming ability.

This position requires a current Working with Children Check to be produced by the applicant at interview.

About You

In order to be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Current AustSwim Certificate – Teacher of Water Safety (or equivilent)
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR)
  • Current AustSwim extension certificates enabling instruction of specialist areas is applicable.

  • Demonstrated ability in the delivery of high quality aquatic programs in an aquatic leisure facility

  • Proven ability to work unsupervised
