About the Role:
JBS Australia’s Riverina Beef Feedlot is a 53,333 capacity feedlot situated between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in Southern NSW. An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to join the dedicated and enthusiastic feedlot team.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Coordination of the Animal Health team in conjunction with the Livestock Supervisor.
- Overseeing the daily supervision of livestock handling, including pen riding, livestock acclimation, hospital treatment & post-mortems.
- Comprehensive diagnosis of animal health symptoms across all feeding types.
- Administration & accurate record keeping of Animal health treatments in line with JBS treatment protocols.
- Inventory management as required including calibration, auditing & stocktaking.
- Ensuring team compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations.
KEY CRITERIA:
- Previous experience managing & coordinating Animal Health and the associated performance of these teams.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, high levels of self-motivation and strong planning capabilities.
- Demonstrated Leadership skills and experience.
