About the business
Mood Active is a not-for-profit community service provider that offers 8 week small group exercise programs, social programs and educational seminars for people diagnosed with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders.
Participants are typically referred to us by GP's, psychologists and community organisations and to date, feedback has been very positive. As a result, we are looking to expand our operation and this has created a need for a part-time Program Manager.
About the role
The Program Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of our 8-week Program, social and other educational programs as we expand across Sydney. We are looking for an exercise physiologist with Medicare provider status, to allow participants to claim for our service.
Responsibilities include:

Responding to participant enquiries, conducting phone assessments of potential participants and enrolling suitable candidates

Weekly coaching, mentoring and support of participants in program, to help them to completion

Recruitment & support of trainers and management of their performance

Conduct training sessions when trainer is sick, if within hours

Managing the [email protected] inbox and Mood Active mobile phone

Managing the scheduling of classes, fitness checks, educational events and trainers. This is administered through Teamstuff and excel and there are a number of volunteers assisting

Managing collation of data in Excel: participant & trainer attendance, mood & fitness assessments
Benefits and perks
This role is 9 hours a week at $35 per hour plus Super (9.5%). This is a work from home role and an operations phone will be provided.
Initially the hours would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday (7.30am to 10.30am - negotiable) with the ability to expand to 15-20 hours a week as the role grows.

Skills and experience

Exercise Physiologist (essential) with interest in focusing on mental health

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously – including planning & organising

Demonstrated strong organisational & time management skills

Ability to work remotely coordinating self & others to achieve results

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Own computer & internet (operational phone will be provided)

Intermediate typing skills (>40 wpm)

Intermediate skills working with cloud-based technology for email, contacts, file storage e.g. Gmail, OneDrive etc.

Uses exercise for own mental health

Certification or experience in counselling, mentoring or coaching support role within mental health (desirable)
