About the business
Total Support Services provides support to people with disabilities, families and children. We are a privately owned company that has been established since 2010 and moved in to Tasmania in 2016.
About the role
You will required to:
- Provide professional consultation to Total Support Services staff on matters such as approaches,interventions, theoretical and ethical considerations and individual professional development planning.
- Provide advice to management on matters relating to service provision, professional practice, the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of professional standards, policies, protocols, guidelines and procedures
- Provide crisis intervention services, conduct psychosocial assessments and make recommendations for care and intervention
- Develop and review support plans to ensure they meet the needs of the clients
- Provide supervision and direction to support workers to ensure they are working in line with the support plans
- Maintain accurate records of involvement and contribute to Assessment reports
- Attendance at care team meetings and provide written reports as required
- Increase clientel that require co-ordination of support through NDIS

Skills and experience
You must have:
- University acquired degree or diploma in a humanities field
- Current driver's licence
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
- Minimum of three years' experience in the delivery of human/family services
- Demonstrated skills in counselling both children and adults.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence base practice
- Extensive experience in Social Work practice & demonstrated ability and understanding case management.
- High quality written and oral communication skills & strong computer skills.
- High level of effective communication with stakeholders
