The Position:
In this role you will be required to provide a high quality crisis response including advocacy and risk assessment. This support will be provided by either telephone or face to face contact as needed. You will also provide outreach support to assist the adolescent residential care houses, staff and/or volunteers.
To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, such as Social Work, Welfare or other related qualification.
- Previous experience in the provision of crisis intervention and risk assessment. Experience with residential care clients and in an on call/recall role is desirable.
- An informed understanding of;
- the incidence, causes and impacts of crisis
- Children and young people in out of home care and staff.
- A clear knowledge and understanding of trauma.
- The ability to use a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, Outlook and Internet/webmail.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check, Valid driver’s licence and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
