About Reclink Australia
Reclink Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to provide and promote sport and art programs for people experiencing disadvantage. We target some of the communities most vulnerable and isolated people, including people experiencing significant mental health challenges, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, culturally and linguistic diverse communities, correctional services and economic hardship. With over 270 member organisations nationally, we currently provide over 100,000 participant opportunities throughout Australia annually.
Position Overview
- Qualifications from a recognised TAFE, College or University in Youth Work, Community Services, Mental Health, Sport and Recreation, or similar and/or a minimum of two year's experience in the provision of a diverse range of sport and recreation programs;
- Develop, implement and coordinate the Reclink National program in Dandenong and surrounding areas;
- Establish a formal Reclink network of member agencies in your location to assist in the development of programs;
- Identify and recruit prospective member organisations and volunteers in Dandenong and surrounding areas;
- Work closely with identified key stakeholders in the development of programs;
- Establish a range of sport and recreation programs for disadvantaged people;
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of administrative support systems and innovative practice;
- A positive communicator with high level of verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships in a community setting;
- Demonstrated experience working with people experiencing disadvantage including homelessness, mental illness and addiciton;
- Demonstrated experience working with multicultural communities;
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and constructively in a team setting with minimal supervision;
- Be a self-starter, reliable and able to work independently, innovatively and respectfully with diverse individuals and groups;
- High level of time management and organisational skills and capacity to work effectively within agreed timeframes;
- A positive National Police Check and Working with Children Check is mandatory;
- Current drivers licence and own vehicle.
