About the business
Melaleuca Refugee Centre (MRC) provides a range of services to people from refugee backgrounds who are newly arriving into the Northern Territory. These services include settlement services, provision of a Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma and access to a range of community development programs that enable the people we support to experience caring communities.
About the role
The role involves taking the lead in case management plans for clients, coordinating a comprehensive client orientation process which involves linkages to Essential Services, provision of safety and settlement information as well as working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure positive client outcomes. It also includes assessment and case planning of cases with complex and specialist needs.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will possess;
- Bachelor of Social Work or Psychological Services
- A passion for working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
- Case management experience
- Be eligible for a Working with Children 'Ochre Card'
- Be able to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check; and
- Possess a NT driver's licence.
