Are you an experienced Disability Support Worker looking to step into a rewarding role that allows you to combine your professional skill and passion for patient care?
An exciting opportunity has become available at Healthscope Independence Services Shepparton for suitable candidates to provide individualised care and support to clients in our residential house in Shepparton with Attendant Care Service team.
As a Disability Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming to patients
  • Assist with provision of medication
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as cooking, household cleaning and laundry
  • Provide social and transportation support including driving patients to medical appointments and assisting with grocery shopping
  • Candidate must be able to work varied shifts over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week with varying shift hours

Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) Shepparton is an accredited provider of Residential Care and Attendant Care services with a range of service options. Independence Services provides a safe and empowering environment for clients to maximise their individual potential.


The residential services at our houses is inclusive of:
  • 24 hour 7 day per week active staffing including active overnight at most of our houses, otherwise a sleepover staff member is present onsite
  • Support the client’s individual goals (which are set by the client and therapy team) and maximise their independence
  • Assist with personal activities of daily living
  • Coordinate attendance at therapy sessions and support therapist’s recommendations
Selection Criteria:
  • Certificate III or IV in Community Services /Disability/Aged Care or Experience working in the disability sector
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Food Safety Certificate (SITXFSA101)
  • Current National Police Clearance no more than 12 months old
  • Current State/Territory Driver’s License
Essential Criteria:
All candidates should be up to date with relevant Vaccinations/Immunisations: (Hep A & Hep B)
