Brighten Careers Institute is an English and industry education institution offering a variety of English and industry training packages to students across the world.
Position Description
The teacher(s) will be responsible for delivering English language courses and conducting the assessments required for the course. Class will run for 4 hours per day and for three days per week.
Students' ability levels range from IELTS level 3.0 to 6.5.
Duties and responsibilities
The position requires the individual to:
- Deliver English language courses to students.
- Conduct and review course assessments.
- Develop lesson plans and individual work plans.
- Participate in group functions as well as the course orientation and graduation.
- Attend an induction session and routine meetings.
- Liaise with other staff regarding academic matters such as timetabling, curriculum and school administration.
- Ensure that students are informed and protected by providing them access to information about the school and their rights & obligations.
- Advise students on general academic matters.
- Always act as an ambassador of the school.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor Degree or above as well as an ESL qualification.
- Experience delivering ESL courses and designing lesson plans
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- A strong understanding of how students learn and the educational needs of ESL students.
- A developed understanding of grammar, function, and genre.
- Effective classroom management skills.
Desired Criteria:
- Experience teaching for the TOIEC Test.
- A creative and inspiring teaching style.
- Experience teaching both general English and English for Academic Purposes.
- Experience teaching résumé writing and/or interview skills.
