The Griffith Climate Change Response Program team bring this to life by developing innovative and collaborative climate change adaptation and mitigation services. As climate change issues cut across many disciplines, our projects are innovatively designed to target complex problems.

The opportunity
The Griffith Climate Change Response Program has partnered with Queensland Government through the Queensland Climate Ready (QCR) Program to co-design and implement activities that help improve climate change risk management across the Queensland Government.

We are currently looking for a Program Officer to lead administrative and logistical activities that support the effective planning and implementation of QCR program activities. This role includes working closely with Queensland government stakeholders and key climate change experts, within and external to the university.

This is a fixed term (until July 2020), part time (50%) position based at the Nathan campus.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications and/or professional experience in a relevant field. You will have the ability to identify client needs, and deliver exceptional outcomes professionally. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You will be innovative and solutions driven with the ability to develop and implement project planning with clear objectives. The successful appointee will be able to work with limited supervision and adjust flexibly to a broad range of demands and competing project priorities.

Your high level of interpersonal, communication, problem solving, administrative and organisational skills will be an asset to you in this role.

Salary range
HEW Level 6: $74,972 $80,042 (pro rata) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $87,718 - $93,649 (pro rata) per annum.
