Young Academics is seeking an enthusiastic Trainee with a commitment to becoming part of the Early Learning industry and the Young Academics family. Placement is at our Rouse Hill Centre.

About the role

Previous experience working with children is desirable, however not essential. Bringing your passion for working with children, you will be pivotal to our Centre's success, our team-based culture and achieving our standard of excellence.

You will work with a team of dedicated educators and assistants to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS). 

Key Responsibilities, not limited to

• Assist in leading our Centre to become the Centre of choice for families within the local community.
• Demonstrate excellence in the provision of care and learn about the imparting of education, programming, leadership and early learning standards via a recognised Traineeship.
• Appropriate liasing with parents whilst maintaining confidentiality.
• Learning about record keeping, compliance and programming 
• Ensure the safety & well being of all stakeholders (children, educators and families)
• Commitment to ongoing learning and self development, innovation and motivation

Traineeships are full-time. Education via TAFE, outside of work hours and within work hours, is supported. On the job training is provided in a nurturing, supportive workplace.

• Demonstrate strong commitment to high quality care.
• Demonstrate highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with the children, families and staff.

• Have the ability to learn everything they can about Early Learning. Not just from a hands-on childcare aspect, but with a view to having a career with us as a future Educator, a potential leader, a possible manager, and so much more.
