Job no:504770 Area:Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Salary (FTE):Professional Level 07 ($81,883.65 - $89,559.15) Work type:Full Time - Fixed Term Location: St Lucia Student Employability Centre The Student Employability Centre is custodian of the UQ Employability Award, and coordinates and promotes a wide range of activities across UQ that empower students to enhance their employability including: global mobility; entrepreneurship and innovation; volunteering and mentoring; undergraduate research experiences; and leadership development opportunities. The Centre enhances student employability through a focus on experiential learning, ensuring that students are able to capitalise on the benefits of the University’s diversity, research reputation and capacity, international partnerships, and strong links with industry and the professions. The Centre also provides financial supports to enable students to access experiences, as well as supports to translate, articulate, and transfer these experiences into the workplace. The role Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders, this position will manage and continuously review programs and activities that enhance the student experience. These programs challenge students to develop their leadership potential and enhance their employability. This position will also engage with graduates of the programs, encouraging them to actively participate in a range of activities to support and develop future cohorts through continued engagement and mentoring. This position will also encourage and support graduates to apply for external prestigious scholarship programs, continuing their leadership journey beyond graduation from UQ. The person Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines, with significant experience presenting and implementation project plans, including measurement of outcomes, timelines, regularly communication and monitoring of progress within budget and required standards. You should also be able to demonstrate success in prioritising your own workload in a high pressure environment, working independently and proactively and meeting deadlines with attention to detail.
