Position Overview
Provide specialist instruction (ground school and simulator), conduct training development (development of courseware and training materials), technical and administrative support in the execution of Hawk pilot training.
Responsibilities
- Personally and, as part of a team of Pilot Instructors, provide ground based and Simulator instruction for RAAF students
- Assess trainees
- Identify and assist students experiencing difficulties in achieving required competencies
- Completion of all training administrative tasks (Assessment, student reporting, etc.)
- Act as subject matter expert for courseware technical review
- Assess courseware against operation of simulation training devices and amend as required
- Develop courseware and training materials
- Drive growth of the Contract with RAAF through being regarded as highly professional and credible
- Ensure CAE meets or exceeds obligations that will develop as a LIF Training Centre of Excellence
- Participate in learning activities
- Abide by all CAE WHS policies and legislated regulations
Essential requirements
- Minimum 1000 command hours on fast jet aircraft or agreed equivalent
- Experience in the design and development of aircrew training materials
- Minimum two years instructional experience in an aircrew training environment
- Previous experience as a military flying instructor (Qualified Flying Instructor or Fighter Combat Instructor)
- Must be an Australian Citizen or eligible to gain citizenship
- Be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance as per Defence Department requirements
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training or equivalent training qualifications and experience
