Megasorber is an innovative local business that designs, develops and supplies soundproofing materials and solutions to the architectural acoustics, building and construction, power generation, marine, transport and defence industries.

The Role
As we continue to grow and increase production, this role will be a key member of the team with the opportunity to build a long-term career.
The responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing of a quality product including the set-up, calibration and cleaning of machines
- Preparation of raw materials, ensuring stock levels are monitored and replenished
- Monitoring machines to ensure optimum production, performing safety checks on every machine and troubleshooting any problems
- Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Liaising with internal staff to provide information regarding progress, maintaining records and activity logs
- Filling of orders, ensuring the accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving of incoming goods and authorising inventory transactions
- Monitoring and management of stock quantities
- Liaison with customers
- Ensure the factory and warehouse housekeeping is maintained
- Completing all work to the highest quality standards while ensuring excellent compliance with all aspects of occupational health and safety standards
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have at least one years’ demonstrated experience working in manufacturing or warehousing. Experience in CNC cutting will be a bonus. You must also have a current Driver’s License and Forklift Licence.
You will have experience working in a team environment with a willingness to learn and a commitment to developing your skills. You will also need sound computer literacy, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
With a strong focus on quality and occupational health and safety, you have a desire to work hard and can keep up with the physical demands of the role.
Previous experience working with quality systems (ISO 9000) and lean management principals will be a definite advantage, and you are keen to learn about acoustics and soundproofing.
